Indian cloths, drugs seized
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized Indian medicines, fabrics and clothes worth around Tk 20 lakh at Atroshia village in Shibganj upazila early hours of yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, a BGB team of Monakasha border observation post challenged some suspected smugglers at the village at around 2:30am and recovered the Indian items, including Viagra and cattle flattening tablets, said operation officer of 9 BGB battalion, Major Abu Nayem.
The suspects, however, managed to flee.
