Nephew kills aunt
A nephew hacked his maternal aunt to death at Nadpara village in Shailakupa upazila early hours of yesterday.
The victim is Nasrin Sultana, 24, wife of Abbas Ali of the village.
Her nephew, Hossain Ali, lives at his grandfather's home at the village.
Shailakupa police said Hossain hacked Nasrin while she was sleeping with her sister-in-law, Asia Khatun, at around 3:30am.
Nasrin succumbed to her injuries on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
She might be killed as she refused to agree with an 'immoral proposal' of her nephew, said the OC quoting the victim's relatives.
After the incident, Hossain has been in hiding.
