Obituary
Abdul Jalil Chowdhury, a social activist and retired school teacher, died of old age complications at a hospital in the city on Saturday afternoon. He was 83.
He left behind his wife, three sons, a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at the mosque attached to the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) after Esha prayers on the day, while the second one was held at his village.
He was buried in his family graveyard at Raigdara village in Balaganj upazila after Asr prayers yesterday.
