Trader fined for selling chemical-mixed mangoes
A mobile court fined a fruit trader Tk 50,000 for selling chemical-mixed mangoes in Fakirapool T&T Colony area in the capital yesterday.
The trader is Jamal Sheikh.
Executive Magistrate Md Abu Sayeed fined him and destroyed huge mangoes mixed with chemical in the market, said a press release.
Dhaka district administration and Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) jointly conducted the drives and detected calcium carbide in the mangoes.
