Interns call off strike
Interns at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) called off their strike and returned to duties yesterday following a fruitful discussion between the KMCH authorities and the leaders of intern doctors. Dr. Kazi Karim Newaz, president of intern doctors' association told this correspondent that the KMCH authorities beefed up security measures at every ward and introduced gate pass system from yesterday morning. He also said that the eight-member committee assured them of taking steps to realise their two point-demand by next 7 days. Interns enforced the work abstention from Tuesday morning.
