'Ilias Mukti Parishad' formed
A 501-member committee was formed to strengthen ongoing agitations demanding return of 'missing' BNP leader Ilias Ali in Sylhet on Wednesday.
The committee styled "Ilias Mukti Parishad" was formed at a meeting chaired by District BNP Vice-President Sheikh Mokon Miah. A 21-meber advisory committee was also formed at the meeting held in the Sylhet city's Mirabazar.
Mokon Miah and ATM Foyez, the Dakshin Surma Upazila unit president of BNP, were made member-secretary of the 'Ilias Mukti Parishad'.
Ilias Ali, 51, one of the organising secretaries of the BNP and his driver went missing while returning to his Banani residence on the night of April 17.
