17 opposition youth wings form alliance
Seventeen youth wings of the BNP, its allies, and like-minded parties have formed a joint youth front named “Jatiyatabadi Jubo Oikya” to ramp up the mobilisation activities of the opposition's ongoing anti-government movement.
The front will be led by BNP's youth body Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, the same way the BNP leads the 18-party alliance, Jubo Dal President Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal said, while making announcement of the new body at a press conference at BNP's Nayapaltan office in the capital yesterday.
The youth alliance, however, has no representation from BNP's key ally Jamaat-e-Islami, as the party does not have a youth front. Outside of the 18-party opposition alliance, Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Jubo Front and Jubo Seba Party have joined the new youth front.
The partner fronts are Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Jubo Jagpa, Gonotantrik Jubo League, Islami Jubo Khelafat, Jubo Jomiyot, Bangladesh National Jubo Party, Bangladesh Jubo NAP, Labour Party Jubo Forum, Khelafat Jubo Andolon, Bangladesh Jubo Shakti, Gonotantrik Jubo Dal, Bangladesh Jubo Kallyan Party, Bangladesh Sacheton Jubo Forum, Bangladesh Jatiya Jubo Sanghati, Muslim Jubo Sangho, Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Jubo Front, and Jubo Seba Party.
