Man jailed for stalking
A mobile court in Magura yesterday sentenced a young man to one year imprisonment for sexually harassing a female Brac employee.
The convict is Mashiar Rahman, 30, son of Mohammad Ali Sardar of Shatakhali village of Shalikha upazila.
Shalikha Police Station OC Samshul Haque said Mashiar had been harassing school and college-going students since long.
He said Mashiar intercepted the representative of Brac office in Arpara, on her way to the workplace in the village and harassed her. Hearing her screams, local people rescued the victim.
Later, She lodged a complaint with the police.
Police arrested Mashiar and produced him before the mobile court which awarded the punishment.
