Ferry Yourself

The boat does not have a boatman but ferries people across the canal of Ichhamoti regularly and charges every passenger Tk 2 for each trip. In this self-help ferry service, boat riders are required to pull on a rope fastened to either bank to propel the boat towards the other side. The photo was taken at Rangunia of Chittagong recently.
