Fire breaks out at Ctg warehouse
A fire broke out in a warehouse on the second floor of a two-storey building of an edible oil company at Boalkhali upazila in Chittagong yesterday around 8:30am. However, there were no reports of casualties.
On information, seven fire fighting units from Agrabad, Chandanpura, Kalurghat and Patiya rushed to Banur Teck area of West Gomdandi around 9:30am and were able to douse the flames after around three hours.
Neither firefighters nor officials of the company, Confidence Salt and Edible Oil Industries, could ascertain what sparked the fire.
The warehouse manager, Arun Bikash Chakrabarty, claimed that the damage was worth Tk 2 crore.
