Muggers stab two in capital
Snatch Tk 50,000
Muggers snatched around Tk 50,000 and two mobile phone sets after stabbing two youths at capital's Golapbagh and Joydevpur of Gazipur district early yesterday.
The injured are Mohammad Sujan, 20, an employee at a fish wholesale market in Jatrabari, and Monir Hossain, 22, an employee of a shoe factory at Bangshal of the capital.
Both have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
In front of Golapbagh community centre two muggers intercepted Sujan's rickshaw and took away TK 50,000 and a mobile phone set after stabbing him around 2:00 am, said Sujan.
Four muggers stabbed Monir on his chest and back and snatched his mobile phone set and Tk 300 while he was waiting for a vehicle at Joydevpur intersection around 1:00am, Monir said.
