Firearms recovered, drug peddler held
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered firearms from an embankment under Halishahar Police Station in Chittagong Wednesday night, said a press release.
Acting on a tip off, a Rab-7 team conducted a drive around 10:20pm and recovered one pistol, one revolver, two light guns, ten cartridges, and five rounds of bullet.
None was arrested in this connection.
On the same night, Rab-7 personnel arrested a drug peddler and seized 115 pieces of yaba tablets worth about Tk 46,000 from him in Technical Intersection area.
The arrested was identified as Kamal Uddin Liton, 34, son of Saleh Ahmed of the area.
