Secy sued for demanding bribe
A Dhaka court yesterday fixed July 10 for passing an order on a corruption case against Housing and Public Works Secretary Khandaker Shawkat Hossain.
One Nahim Habibuzzaman filed a corruption case against Shawkat Hossain with the district and sessions court on May 10 under anti-corruption law.
In the case, he said the secretary demanded bribe of Tk 10 crore for issuing a circular for releasing an abundant property.
