Woman murdered in Ctg
A woman was killed by a man over a family dispute in Haji Para area under Raozan Police Station in Chittagong yesterday.
The victim was Anwara Begum, 50, wife of late Md Kamruzzaman of Khalil Mistri Bari of the area.
Md Abbas Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Raozan Police Station, said Anwara locked into a quarrel with another woman, whose identity could not be known immediately, of the same village over a family dispute at around 9.30am.
At one stage of the altercation, Emdad, son of the woman, hit on Anwara's head with a stick.
She was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead around 12:00pm.
Police arrested Emadadul Haque, 40, for his alleged involvement in the killing.
A case was filled with the police station in this connection.
