French dev agency office in Dhaka soon
The French Development Agency will soon open its office in Bangladesh.
Newly appointed French Ambassador to Bangladesh Michel Trinquier said this when he paid a courtesy visit to Foreign Minister Dipu Moni at her office yesterday, said a foreign ministry press release.
During the meeting, the ambassador lauded the 'phenomenal social and economic progress' that Bangladesh has made over the past decades.
Dipu Moni sought French support to development activities in Bangladesh.
She also expected cooperation on higher education of Bangladeshi students and professionals in France.
Talking to reporters, the ambassador said France is eager to invest in Bangladesh's mass transportation.
