Costing Tk 203 crore under the Dhaka Water Supply and Sanitation Project, funded by World Bank, the pumps, to be situated at Rampura and Kamalapur, have a draining capacity of 25,000 and 15,000 liters per second respectively.
Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Wasa) signed a contract at Sonargaon Hotel yesterday in this regard with China-CAMC Engineering Company Limited, which will set up the pumps in two years.
