Two factories fined in Ctg
A mobile court in a drive yesterday fined two factories Tk 1.5 lakh at Kalamia Bazar under Bakalia Police Station in the city.
Department of Environment (DoE), Chittagong; Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) and Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) jointly conducted the drive, said a press release.
The court fined R M Food Products Tk 1 lakh in the area for producing food items in dirty and unhygienic environment.
It also fined Major Polymer Industries Tk 50,000 in the area on charges of producing and marketing polythene.
