20 hurt in AL factional clash
At least 20 people were injured as two factions of Awami League (AL) clashed yesterday morning at Dipchar Lautara Bazar in the sadar upazila over using a road.
The clash erupted between the groups of Azizur Rahman Tinku, liberation war affairs secretary of the district unit AL and Tayeb Sardar, member of the sadar upazila unit AL.
During the clash, people from both of the factions attacked their rivals with lethal weapons and firearms, injuring 20 persons.
Of the injured, eight were admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital.
Letter, Nazim Sardar, 40, was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and Nabir Uddin, 48, to Dhaka.
