Two arrested with firearms
Police yesterday arrested two persons who used to rent firearms to criminals from the capital's Kalyanpur Pura Basti area.
The arrestees were Atiqur Rahman Bappi, 30, and Md Ripon, 30, Kalyanpur.
Police arrested Bappi from the area around 3:00pm. They also recovered a pistol, three round bullets, two machetes and a knife from his possession.
Following confession of Bappi, Ripon was arrested from the same area.
