Youth hacked to death
A youth was hacked to death in Ilsabari area of Singra upazila in the district early hours of yesterday.
The deceased is Nazmul Hossain, 30, son of Janu Pramanik of Bias village in the upazila.
Singra Police Station Officer-in-Charge Fayesur Rahman said one Kamal, along with around twelve of his associates, allegedly killed Nazmul around 12:30am due to past enmity, while he was sleeping beside a pond he took lease.
He was rushed to the upazila health complex where the doctors declared him dead.
