8 held with heroin in Ctg
Police in separate drives seized heroin worth around Tk 5.5 lakh and arrested eight people in this connection at Lohagara upazila on Thursday night.
Police arrested Bodiul Alam, 42, of the upazila, red handed from his Rashidar Para residence and seized 100 grams of heroin worth around Tk 5 lakh from his possession, police said.
Police also raided Manpura Beauty Parlour in the area, arrested seven people and seized 10 grams of heroin worth around Tk 50,000 from them.
They are Sohel, Sahabuddin, Liton, Kashem, Aktar, Kamal, Yakub of Sathkania.
