Destiny man 'kills himself'
A distributor of Destiny 2000 Ltd, a multi-level marketing company, allegedly committed suicide in Savar on the outskirts of the capital early yesterday.
The deceased is Moazzem Hossain Shahin, 40, hailing from Ramnagar village at Baufal upazila in Patuakhali.
Police recovered the body from his Savar residence around 6:00am after he hanged himself from a ceiling fan, said police.
Nasima Alam, elder sister of Shahin, told reporters, "As Shahin was a distributor of the Destiny, many people invested money in the company through him."
"Shahin had been suffering from frustration as his clients were demanding him to get their money back after the Destiny group scam," Nasima said. "Shahin took his own life as he was under pressure of his clients," she said.
