Vessel capsize: Body of missing crew recovered in Ctg
The body of an engine driver was recovered in Sitakunda upazila yesterday afternoon 39 hours after a lighter vessel capsized at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port.
Police recovered the body of Abdul Kuddus, 60, an engine driver of the vessel MV Chattagram, around 1:30pm from Kumira-Sandwip Ghat area, said police.
Rafiqullah, a missing staff of the engine room of the vessel, was rescued by local fishermen at the Bhatiary channel in the Bay of Bengal on Friday night, said Khalilur Rahman, manager of Chittagong Trade Agency.
The two went missing after MV Chattagram capsized with its 13 crew on Thursday night.
