25 honoured for contributions to agri-sector
Water pump marketer, Pedrollo nk Ltd, has honoured 25 persons for their contributions to the country's agriculture sector.
Anwar Faruque, additional secretary of Ministry of Agriculture, handed over certificates and crests to the persons at a programme organised by Star Multimedia at the Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Thursday, said a press release.
The winners include agriculture scientists Dr MA Khaleque Mia and Dr MA Rahim, Pedrollo nk Ltd Managing Director Nader Khan, Agriculture Activist and Head of News of private television Channel i Shykh Seraj and farmer Abdul Kuddus Master.
Journalists from 15 different print and electronic media were also honoured for their work on farm sector.
The Daily Star Senior Reporter Sohel Parvez and Prothom Alo Senior Reporter Iftekhar Mahmud were among them.
