Upfront
We fail to understand the logic behind the finance minister's remark. Arun Barua, Canada
The minister can not stop the media from publishing the names of suspected persons connected with Padma Bridge scam. Dr Islam
Naming the alleged accused in Padma Bridge scam by The DS and Prothom Alo should not be considered improper because things are very clear to the nation by now. And people's patience is wearing thin day by day. Nasirullah Mridha, USA
Muhith is now about to tarnish the popularity of the two leading daily newspapers. Despite strong evidence against the share market manipulators and Padma Bridge project, he wants to preach us that nothing was wrong. He has downgraded himself by staging scathing attack on The Daily Star and Prothom Alo for their authentic reports. Robin
Mr. Muhith, it is up to your government to prove that the persons are not guilty. The Daily Star and Prothom Alo are serving us with authentic information. You may not like it but we do. Anonymous
Why should there be secrecy about corruption? The Daily Star and Prothom Alo have done the right thing by publishing their names. AL government lives in secrecy and cannot tolerate when something is said about them. We support The Daily Star and Prothom Alo. Shaheen Subhan
The finance minister needs to be careful. Publishing the names of the accused in Padma Bridge related corruption is legitimate. This is fair in any democracy. Saleh Mohammad Ayub
Finance minister, how do you expect someone to give an account of witness to crime while still in power? Isn't it a bit naïve for one to expect something like that to happen in Bangladesh?
