Three killed, 25 injured in road accidents
Three people were killed and 25 others injured in road accidents in the capital, Keraniganj and Thakurgaon yesterday.
Two people were killed in road accidents in the capital's Farmgate and Darus Salam area.
In an incident, Saddam Hossain, 28, a bus helper of Online Paribahan, died as he fell down from a bus when its driver halted it to save a private car in Farmgate area around 2:00pm.
Police seized the bus and held its driver.
In another incident, an unidentified youth was killed on the spot as a truck hit him in Darus Salam area.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Dhaka-Maowa road at Korergao in South Keraniganj upazila, reports UNB.
The unidentified youth biker died on the spot when his motorcycle hit a truck from behind after losing control over steering around 1.30pm.
Our Thakurgaon correspondent reports, at least 25 people were injured in an accident on Nekmarad-Baliadangi road in Baliadangi upazila yesterday.
Police said the accident occurred when a bus fell into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering around 1:30pm.
Of the injured seven were rushed to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital, while others took treatment at local hospitals.
