Think before advising
I believe the prime minister has appointed a few advisors to advise her on important issues to deliver quick decisions. Most of these advisors are ex-high officials. They are experienced in their respective fields of work and are known figures. They closely work with the prime minister and give advise on administrative decisions.
The present prime minister, being the daughter of the father of the nation, is dedicated to serve the people. She is working hard to keep her promises made to the people before election. Well, she has succeeded in keeping many promises. But we are surprised to note some pieces of advices from some experienced advisors. For example, one advisor has advised her to turn all private cars into taxi-cabs, a ridiculous suggestion. We have learned from the newspaper reports of June 23 that due to sudden stoppage of movement of heavy loaded trucks and lorries, the Chittagong-Dhaka highway was blocked. The travellers, reportedly, had to spend the night under open sky. This was the latest order of the governmentt that the traffic police were implementing.
We believe, the advisors would advise the government after thoroughly examining the good and bad sides of a decision in future.
