Road crash kills woman in capital
An unidentified woman was crushed under the wheels of a truck on Mazar road in Darus Salam area in the capital yesterday.
Darus Salam Police Station Sub-Inspector Bimal Chandra Pine said a Gabtoli-bound truck hit the woman aged around 65 while she was crossing the road beside Shah Ali Mazar at about 7:00am, killing her instantly.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Police seized the truck while its driver managed to flee.
