Two siblings die in lightning
2 others of the family also hurt
Two siblings were killed and two others of their family were injured in lightning at Satkania upazila in Chittagong yesterday.
The deceased are Mohammad Faruque, 13, and Moni Aktar, 11, children of Abul Kashem of Sadaha at the upazila.
Injured Sufia Aktar, 45, wife of Kashem, and her another son Abu Taher, 22, were admitted to Al-Shefa Hospital in the area, said local chairman Mosad Hossain.
The family members were struck by a thunderbolt around 6:00pm while they were in their tin-shed house, said the chairman.
Being informed of the incident, a team of Satkania police was sent to the spot.
