Matin for social movement
Language movement veteran Abdul Matin yesterday urged the young generation to launch social movement against all kinds of drugs and alcohol to build a liveable society.
He suggested that the law enforcement agencies should come forward to stop drug and alcohol smuggling into the country and take strict action against the responsible persons to make the society drug-free.
Matin said this at a human chain pro-gramme at the base of Aparajeya Bangla in Dhaka University. Save the Rural Development (Sarda), an NGO, organised the programme to mark International Anti-Drug Day.
