BCS preliminary result published
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) yesterday published the preliminary test results of the 33rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination with a total of 28,917 candidates qualifying for written tests.
The commission announced the result at noon and uploaded the results on its website www.bpsc.gov.bd, AYM Nesar Uddin, controller of examinations (cadre), told The Daily Star.
One can also avail the result by sending “BCS‹space›33‹space›applicant's-registration-number” to 16222 from Teletalk mobile phones.
Nesar also said the commission later would announce a tentative date for the written tests.
Around 1.93 lakh applicants attended the first-round at 142 centres across the country on June 1. The commission on February 29 published the advertisement for 4,206 vacant government posts.
However, the number of posts could be increased, hinted BPSC officials.
The qualified candidates will have to download the BPSC form-2 from the BPSC website. They should submit the forms only to those centres which they mentioned in their BPSC form-1, from July 7 to July 19 between 10:00am and 4:00pm, said a press release of BPSC.
The application form will be cancelled if not submitted by the scheduled time, added the press release.
