Mob beats 3 youths
A mob beat three youths during a robbery incident at a lawyer's residence at Genda in Savar yesterday.
Mohammad Ali, 25, Jakir Hossain, 25, and Jakir Hossain, 24, were admitted to Savar upazila health complex.
Quoting locals, police said the youths entered the house of advocate Kazi Mintu around 9:30am and tried to loot valuables.
Hearing crying for help, locals caught them and gave them a good beating, police said. They were later handed over to Savar police.
Quoting the youths, SI Maniruzzaman said Hridoy, son of the lawyer, hired them to commit the robbery, as his father did not give him money.
He said police found in primary interrogation that the allegation of the detainees is true but Hridoy's father denied it.
