Nahid, 5 other Bangladeshis receive WEC award
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and five others Bangladeshis received the World Education Congress Global Award-2012 in India yesterday.
A number of distinguished personalities from across the world were also given the award at a function in Mumbai in recognition of their outstanding contributions to education sector.
Other Bangladeshi award recipients are Dr Mohammad Sharif, vice-chancellor of East West University, Dr M Imtiaz Hossain, vice-chancellor of Islamic University of Technology, Gazipur, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka International University Dr Nurul Momen, Chairman of Cambrian School and College MK Bashar and Managing Director of SSBCL Group Sumon Talukder.
