A schoolboy was killed in a bomb explosion as fleeing muggers hurled the bomb at Shyampur in the capital last night. The deceased is Rabiul Islam Sunny, 8, son of Rashedul Islam, a rickshaw-van puller at East Dhulaipar in Shyampur. A witness, Mohammad Khokon Mia, told The Daily Star that Sunny, along with his father, was in front of their house around 10:00pm when a mugging victim cried for help. Rashedul and some other locals rushed in and tried to catch the muggers, he added.
