Moudud escapes road crash
BNP leader Moudud Ahmed narrowly escaped a road accident near Comilla on his way to Chittagong from the capital yesterday.
Moudud, a standing committee member of opposition BNP, was going to disaster-stricken Chittagong district with party Chairperson Khaleda Zia to distribute relief among the victims.
The accident took place when an oncoming bus hit his car at the front of the motorcade of Khaleda while it was entering the area.
The front side of Moudud's car was badly damaged, reports a correspondent.
After the incident, Moudud said anything serious has not happened due to heavy weight of his car.
The BNP leader suspected that the bus driver might have been drunk during the accident.
Moudud said he is in good health but not well mentally, adding he will return to Dhaka from Chittagong by cutting the visit short.
