Rotary donates Tk 200cr to eradicate polio
Rotary International has donated Tk 200 crore in last 23 years with a mission to eradicate polio disease from Bangladesh.
Rotary Bangladesh Governor Dr Ishtiaque Zaman said this at a press conference in Jatiya Press Club of the capital yesterday, said a press release.
Rotary started 'polio plus' project in the country in 1995 jointly with Bangladesh Government, World Health Organisation, Unicef and CDC.
