AL to bring forward new leadership Says Syed Ashraful
Ruling Awami League (AL) General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam yesterday said they are trying to infuse new leadership into the party.
"Sheikh Hasina has already started the process. Whenever opportunities are created, she fills up the vacancies by new leadership," said Ashraf, also the LGRD and cooperatives minister.
He was addressing the council of the Dhaka City [South] Jubo League, an associated body of the party, in front of the party's central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.
The council of the Jubo League unit was held after more than nine and a half years. The last council of the unit was held on January 25, 2003.
