Three held with liquor
Police arrested three people for allegedly selling liquor illegally and seized 90 litres of locally made liquor worth about Tk 13,500 from their possession in Chittagong city on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, two teams of Patenga police in separate drives arrested Sadhan Das, 55, of Anwara upazila, from the city's GEM Colony premises with 30 litres of liquor and Jahir Ahmed alias Bangla Jahir, 55, and his wife Nur Jahan, 45, from Bijay Nagar area, where they live in, with 60 litres.
