Construct with own fund: Shajahan
During the tenure of BNP- led four-party alliance government, World Bank (WB) cancelled loan on seven projects of the country in 2005, since which the organisation has not financed any other project, said Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan yesterday.
“Constructing the Padma bridge with local fund will prove that we are an independent nation,” he also said while addressing as chief guest the 4th Reunion and National Convention of Ex-cadet Association of Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Academy (EABMFA) at Shah Alam Bir Uttam Auditorium of Chittagong Medical College in the port city.
EABMFA President Kazi Fakhrul Alam chaired the programme while Captain Sirajul Islam Shwapan read out the convention proposal.
