Obituary

Shah Alam Chowdhury, FCA, former treasurer of BGMEA, died at his residence in the capital on Monday afternoon. He was 76. He left behind his wife, four sons and five grandchildren to mourn his death, says a press release. A doa mahfil will be held at his Green Road residence in the capital after Asr prayers today. His relatives, friends and well-wishers are invited to attend the programme to pray for the salvation of the departed soul. Shah Alam, principal of Alam Chowdhury Mostafa & Co Chartered Accountants, was one of the pioneers of the RMG industry.
