Schoolboy killed by lightning
A schoolboy died after being struck by lightning at Mughda in the capital yesterday.
Sazidul Haque Niloy, 14, son of Sirajul Haque, was a student of class VIII of Maniknagar High School in the area.
He was struck by lightning while taking bath on the roof of their five-storey building during rain around 1:00pm, his father told journalists at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Niloy was initially rushed to a local hospital and later taken to DMCH where doctors declared him dead around 3:30pm.
The body was sent to the hospital morgue.
