Sector Commanders Forum opens UK chapter

Staff Correspondent
Sector Commanders Forum (SCF) has introduced its branch in United Kingdom (UK) to accumulate public support in favour of war crimes trial and resist propaganda against the trial. The supporters and lobbyists of the people, who committed crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971, are allegedly launching the propaganda around the world. A 17-member committee of the forum's UK chapter was formed recently at Montefiore Centre in East London, said a press release yesterday. Khalil Kazi, a freedom fighter and councillor of Newham ward in London, has been elected convener while Koisar Mahmud Syed, a freedom fighter and coordinator of Muktijoddha Sangsad European zone, and Ishak Kazal, a journalist, have been elected joint conveners. SCF acting secretary general Harun Habib, and Vice-President Dr Sarwar Ali attended the programme.
