Criminals set fire to SSMC forensic dept head's room
Unidentified criminals set fire to the room of Forensic Department head of Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC) early yesterday.
The curtains on the door and a part of the wooden door were damaged in the incident, SSMC sources said.
Employees of the SSMC found the fire in the room of the department's head Belayet Hossain around 7:45am. Latter, they doused the fire, the sources said.
Tasharraf Hossain, station officer at Sadarghat Fire Station, said they found that Kerosene was floating on the water used for dousing the fire.
Contacted, Belayet Hossain said apparently it was a subversive incident.
