One killed over land dispute
A man was killed and five others were injured when two rival groups clashed over land in Hatbamuni village of Gaibandha yesterday.
The dead Bablu Mia, 37, was the son of Nurul Huq of the village.
The clash ensued when Bablu and one Moinul Huq were quarrelling over the boundary line of Bablu's land. The supporters of the two clashed with local weapons in which Bablu and five others were injured, said police.
Injured Bablu died at Rangpur Medical College hospital. Others were taken to Sadullapur health complex.
The victim's wife lodged a case in this connection.
