Ammunition recovered in Bandarban
Members of Bangladesh Army recovered 32 mortar shells and two hand grenades from Thanchi upazila of Bandarban on Friday night.
Acting on a tip off, a team of the army conducted a drive in a hilly area of the upazila, and recovered the ammunition in an abandon condition.
Lt Col Imran Ibne Rauf, who led the drive, said this at a press conference at Bandarban Sadar Zone Office of Bangladesh Army on Saturday.
Wrapped in sacks, the ammunition were found hidden under ground, he said.
None was arrested in this connection, he added.
