Couple found dead in Tangail
A couple was found dead at Chhoto Binnafair village in Sadar upazila yesterday morning.
The dead are Abdul Karim Mia, 30, son of Abdul Hakim of the village and his wife Asma Begum, 26.
Police recovered the body of Asma from their bedroom while Karim's hanging body from a branch of a tree near their house.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Tangail Model Police Station, suspected that Karim strangled Asma and then he committed suicide.
However, Kulsum Begum, mother of Asma, alleged that Karim's family members tortured Asma to death in the room and later hanged Karim's body from the tree after killing him.
