Woman commits 'suicide' in Ctg
A young woman allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in Chittagong yesterday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Sharmin Akter, 25, daughter of Nurul Alam, hailing from Horola in Patiya upazila of Chittagong district.
Shamsul Islam, constable of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost, said Sharmin took poison after an altercation with her parents over a trifling matter at about 2:00pm.
She was rushed to the CMCH around 3:00am where she died around 5:30pm, Shamsul added.
