Two die from electrocution
Two people died from electrocution in Chittagong and Thakurgaon yesterday.
Our staff correspondent from Chittagong reports, Md Yousuf, 13, son of Sekandar Mia, of the city's West Madarbari, died as he came in contact with a live electric wire while searching for waste papers on the sun shade of a two-storey building on Ice-Factory Road in the port city yesterday afternoon.
Police said Yousuf used to make his living by collecting papers.
In Thakurgaon, Daburuddin, 35, son of Shawkat Ali of Bangaon village, was electrocuted at the village in Haripur upazila as he came in contact with a live electric wire at about 11:30am yesterday, said Gadura UP Chairman Abdul Hamid.
He died on the way to Ranishankoil health complex.
