60 hurt in Habiganj clash
About 60 villagers sustained injuries in a clash between two rival groups at Paharpur in Baniachang upazila of Habiganj district yesterday.
Locals said there was a long-standing rivalry between Abul Hossain and Asabur Rahman at the village over water sharing from an irrigation project.
The rivals, equipped with sticks and some other locally made arms, locked in the clash for about an hour, police said.
