3 commit suicide in Bogra
Three people allegedly committed suicide in Dhunat, Nandigram and Adamdhighi upazilas of Bogra on Thursday.
In Dhunat upazila, a youth identified as Rocky, 18, son of Kabir sarker of Guadhari village, committed suicide by ingesting poison, said police.
He killed himself after quarrelling with his father over a haircut, they added.
Meanwhile, Rokeya Begum, 50, of Nandigram upazila, also also killed herself by poisoning herself.
Rokeya was upset after quarrelling with her son, sources said. She was rushed to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
While in Adamdhighi upazila, a man committed suicide by hanging himself from his bedroom ceiling.
The deceased was identified as Liton Mia, 22, of Santahar.
Police quoting victim's family members said Liton committed suicide after he failed to marry the girl he was infatuated with.
His body was sent to a morgue while an unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
